Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reports in Charleston regarding the police's tolerance in DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter.
